Special Programs and Cultural Series
It is the mission of the Office of Special Programs & Cultural Series to inform, enrich, expand, and enhance the awareness and cultural climate of Prairie View A&M University and the community through the ongoing presentation of intellectually and aesthetically challenging programs which may not other wise be available.
Special Programs serves as a year round prevention and education service. The office is a vehicle for boosting visibility and support for peer education and other innovative campus programs. Special programs acquaint students with a wide spectrum of campus life and help them to review their lifestyles, as well as challenge their peers to make healthier decisions.
The Cultural Series is designed to encourage open minds and foster broad perspectives. This Series exposes students, faculty, staff and the Prairie View Community to a wide range of cultural experiences.
The Office builds bridges with other offices, student groups and faculty members to educate, to inform, to challenge and to develop students.
Special Programs & Cultural Series presents many events for your enjoyment every semester. The program calendar provides a month by month overview of guest performances, art exhibitions, historical celebrations, and special events.
