Prairie View A&M University

Dear Fellow Alumni:

Let me take this opportunity to wish you well as we begin another new and exciting academic year, 2006-2007,  here at Prairie View A&M University. My best wishes are always with you and your family.

Through my work, I constantly have the pleasure to spend time with outstanding graduates of Prairie View. The institution is strengthened by talented alumni like you who are making a remarkable difference in a

highly diverse and ever evolving global society in which we live. Please take a moment and consider how important your degree has been in your life and the opportunity it has provided for you in a variety of ways.

At this very time, we are in the Alumni Phase of the University’s Capital Campaign. We need your support in continuing to carry out our strong reputation and track record for producing engineers, nurses and educators. As you know, PVAMU offers baccalaureate degrees in 50 academic majors, 35 master’s degrees and four doctoral degree programs through nine colleges and schools. During the university’s 130 year history, some 48,000 academic degrees have been awarded. You are a key stakeholder in Prairie View A&M and I am confident that you will want to ensure its great legacy.

I encourage you to support the Alumni Phase of the campaign. Please call the PVAMU Office of Development at (936) 857-2245 or visit www.pvamu.edu and click on Giving at PVAMU. Your contribution is tax deductible and a gift of appreciation awaits you. At any time that you might wish to speak with me directly, I may reached by calling (936) 261-1568.

Sincerely,

Hortense E. Kilpatrick, Ph.D.
